Thomas Finot - France

Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home.” — Matsuo Basho

And what a journey we’ve been on, and have laid out yet ahead...Now it’s time to trade the moving shoes for my heels! 👠👠💃🏼💃🏼

I am eager to embark on this week with a spirit of adventure and discovery. Let's embrace each opportunity to connect, converse, and indulge in the finer things in life. Just as a painting is a masterpiece to be admired, so too is a well-crafted glass of wine, with its complex layers of flavor, aroma, and heritage. Whether we're attending a wine tasting or exploring the art scene, we can take the time to appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of each moment.

Tastings are one of my favorite ways to exercise my curiosity and after a weekend with my nose in the books, I’m ready to apply some of my new knowledge to what’s in the glass.⁣

- Nose: green apples, pear, creamy touch

- Palate (words popping in my mind) = fresh, bright, medium bodied, medium acidity, balanced, round, mineral, green pear, green apples, grapefruit. It is a combination of mountain sun with its cooling influence of the mountain winds and cool nights. A drinkable freshness and acidity wine!

⁣Grapes: #chardonnay & #Jacquère (ps, it is a clean and fresh alpine white grape variety grown in #savoie, in France).

Just a short note about the producer, #ThomasFinot. A young artist himself. After many years of experience in different regions of France, he discovered abandoned vineyards in the Coteaux du Grésivaudan" (Isère) northeast of Grenoble, and he is working to restore the vineyards and the region's potential.

In the meantime, tell me, what drives your curiosity? What’s in the bottle? Behind the bottle? How that bottle will pair with a meal or occasion? Or maybe even the culture, geography or tourism in the region?⁣
