Bodega Rubicon - Lanzarote

Another Sippin’ Saturday to go in our new winery series. This one is a centuries-old estates - Bodegas Rubicón. To understand its history, one has to go back to 1570. That was the year when the oldest document still in our hands refers to the property. Located in the Natural Park of La Geria and framed by hundred-year-old eucalyptus trees, the winery stands solemnly overlooking the Timanfaya National Park.

The dream of creating a unique winery that would preserve Lanzarote’s tradition is now a reality thanks to the tenacity of Don Germán

Long story short - if you’re on the trail or curious about Spanish / Lanzarote wine history, this is a must stop. (And I’ll add…check out the restaurant, and tapas pairings)
