Massive de Scala Dei - Spain

“We have, each of us, a life story, whose continuity, whose sense, is our lives.” — Oliver Sacks

Once upon a vineyard, in the heart of Priorat, there stood a majestic winery named Mas Sinen. Within its old stone walls, the winemakers crafted a wine so remarkable that it earned the name "Massive de Scala Dei.”

The vines, weathered by time and history, yielded small yet intensely flavored grapes.

One year, as the harvest season approached, the winemakers noticed something extraordinary – the grapes seemed to glisten with an extra touch of magic.

The weather had been perfect, and the vineyard was alive with anticipation. Excitement filled the air as the team carefully picked the precious clusters, ensuring each grape found its way into the oak barrels. The wine's character developed with every passing day, embodying the spirit of the Priorat's rugged landscape.

Finally, the day of reckoning arrived, and the winemakers unveiled their creation – the Massive de Scala Dei 2019.  A symphony of flavors danced on the palate, led by bold fruit notes, and a hint of minerality that echoed the rocky soils.

As the wine was poured into glasses, a hushed silence fell upon the room, and the winemakers knew they had created something truly extraordinary. The first sip sent waves of delight through their souls, and they knew that the Massive de Scala Dei had become a masterpiece of Priorat winemaking.

From that day on, the wine enchanted wine enthusiasts from near and far. Its story, like a beautiful tale passed from one generation to another, continues to be shared at tables and gatherings. And amidst the clinks of glasses and joyous laughter, the legend of Massive de Scala Dei lives on, leaving a lasting impression on all who taste its magic. 🍷✨

You know I love a good story. So today I’m excited to share this  story with you.

When it all comes down to it, we’re all families, individuals, and just normal, every day people. Some grow grapes. Some make wine. Some sell wine. And some drink wine. But…we all start with a story. And our stories often intertwine.

This is the beauty of wine.

Cheers my friends - to our shared stories.
