A really strong woman accepts the war she went through and is ennobled by her scars.” — Carly Simon
Sometimes both literally and metaphorically.
Life is not always a bed of roses; we encounter challenges, obstacles, losses, and defeats repeatedly.
However, it’s our unique story that molds us into who we are today.
Similarly, winemaking can be demanding and time-pressured, but these challenges pale in significance when driving through rows of vines. Each vineyard has its own rhythm, with weather patterns affecting the soil depending on the geology, the vine’s growth determined by the exposure, and the ripening period dictated by solar radiation, resulting in distinctive wine personalities. Witnessing this slow yet constant evolution is a captivating experience every year.
Today, on #nationalwomanday, let’s raise a toast to all the women out there, regardless of their profession or status. Every woman has something unique to offer.
Today I have chosen a female winemaker, in particular, who envisioned a wine that was independent, natural, youthful, light-footed, and most importantly, fun, and she succeeded admirably. 💪😍
Let’s savor the taste of her creation - #JoMa Pet Nat rosé Petillant naturel Blanc de Noir 2021.
👀 red color
👃 smells wonderfully fruity, with aromas of rhubarb, raspberries, strawberries
👅 Dry on the palate, wonderful and medium + acidity, creamy
An amazing blend of #PinotNoir and #stLaurent.
So my friends, here’s to finishing the week with a beautiful ferocity born from where we’ve been - scars or not - we’ve earned it!
Cheers to all of you!
