The great thing about getting older is that you don’t lose all the other ages you’ve been.” —Madeleine L’Engle
Truth - the written pages of our yet unfinished stories.
And I'm grateful so many of you are part of my story - friends, family, acquaintances, near and far. Wine is best shared. And whether we've raised glasses in person, virtually or promised to one day share a special bottle - thank you for enriching my days.
First up, Cava because all celebrations need a little sparkle.
We popped this 2016 Gramona Innoble Corpinnat. (at least I did, my partner went for a #gintonic 🙈
Tasting notes:
👀 Straw yellow colour.
👃Great complexity in aromas in the nose
👅On the palate, showing mature white fruit, following on with bready, biscuity flavours and a nice nuttiness tone. Ample and refreshing with a very fine bubble well integrated. Finishing long, clean and elegant. A very versatile sparkling wine, fresh and complex.
The grapes are sourced from three different plots of 4.5 ha of #Xarel.lo vines, from the family estate "Les Tres Serres". Hand harvested and manually selected at the cellar.
Made from a cuvée of three different vintages to ensure the perfect blend: the coupage consists of 17% from 2015, 33% from 2016 and 50% from 2017.
A 100% artisanal process. In-cava ageing of 39 months in 3000 and 6000-liters foudres.
Cheers my dears 🥂
